Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening uses a safe, effective chemical process to lighten teeth that may have become discoloured for a number of reasons including diet, the ageing process and smoking.

How we whiten teeth

We take impressions of your teeth and these are sent to a laboratory where your tailor-made mouth trays will be produced. When ready, we will demonstrate how to use these well-fitting trays with a lightening gel. You will then take them home and wear for specified periods each day. After a few weeks, the whitening process should be complete and you will just need to come back to see us so we can check your teeth have reached a shade you are happy with.

Good to know

The General Dental Council, the organisation that regulates dental professionals in the UK, considers teeth whitening and the giving of advice about whitening to be a form of dentistry. That’s why we are the safest and best place to come for a lighter, brighter smile. You will want to keep your whiter smile for as long as possible so try to steer clear of stain-inducing food and drink such as red wine, coffee and berries, and make sure you brush for at least two minutes, twice a day.Teeth whitening can produce beautifully noticeable results but it is not effective on restorations such as crowns and veneers. Also, these results are not permanent so you may want to boost your whiter look by buying some more gel and using with your existing trays.
